Rajasthan is one of the best destination to travel during monsoon. As monsoon is a rejoice-time for everyone, not the less rain-washed palaces look even more inviting. Monsoon fades out in the late September, this is that time you'll see Rajasthan in a totally different zone. Almost all the lakes get full and the hills get greener as the post-monsoon continues to grow till late October. This is the perfect time when you'll find yourself surrounded by greens of Rajasthan. But there are a few places that doesn't see much amount of rain, but those places have their own beauty to attract people just as a flower attracts a bee.




Below are the places that I'd suggest to travel in Udaipur during monsoon and post monsoon.

Everyone knows Udaipur is the city of lakes. During the monsoon the weather of Udaipur gets less harsh and more pleasant. This is the time you’d find it greener and full of natural vegetation almost everywhere. Udaipur is The best to enjoy the Picturesque view of lakes and green hills that can also make memorable moments here.



If you are planning to travel to the Kumbhalgarh Fort, you'll find its way lot more beautiful with volumes of small lakes. It is must to visit the Kumbhalgarh Fort during this weather. Also, don't forget to visit the monsoon place next to the main Udaipur city for the astounding view of the city and the hills.



During monsoon, the Monsoon palace offers one of the best views and you can easily experience why this palace was built. You'll also get a panoramic view of both Pichola and Fateh Sagar lakes. You can also take a boat to the Jag Mandir palace which is another small place island inside the lake Pichola after the Taj lake palace and can enjoy a lunch or dinner. Also if you don't want to visit the Jag Mandir place then there is another island park which is in the mid of the lake Fateh Sagar.

You can also enjoy a dinner or a lunch at the bank of Lake Pichola.

If you are up for some photography, the best views would be the lakes (Badi Lake, Udai Sagar Lake) and for more, you can also plan for the Dudhai Talai, Purohito Ka Talab, Govardhan Sagar, and none other than the hill hiking at the Karni Mata Temple. And if you found it cloudy then visiting the ubeshwar Ji, Piplya Ji, and sajjanghar palace would be a totally different experience.




There are many big and small dams build in and around Udaipur city, if you are enthusiast enough then you can take a taxi and plan a road trip to Bageri ka Naka, Tidi Dam, Nandeshwaar Channel and the Kundeshwar Mahadev.



The outer city also holds many antique templates with small ponds with amazing natural views and they look mesmerizing in the rain. Few of them are not popular enough amongst the tourists but you can hire a taxi and travel to the Sahastrabahu temple and Shri Dhareshwar Mahadev temple that is around twenty kilometers from the main city and are situated next to Bagela lake.
